This event is to showcase a specific role in Health and Care that provides patient care - the Health Care Support Worker, who can work in a variety of settings or specialities alongside different professions. Aylesbury UTC Open Day
Register for an open day on Thursday 9th October, 5-7pm, at Aylesbury UTC, who are inviting all students that have a genuine interest in Creative Digital Media, Film & TV, Digital or Health & Social Care, to find out more about their fantastic learning opportunities.
Students will have a chance to meet representatives from BNU, Bucks Healthcare, Bucks Council and Oxford Health. They will also be able to sample lessons using state-of-the-art learning environments and take a tour around Aylesbury UTC. This will be the first open event of the academic year and prospective students and families can register for a free place here.
Taster day at animation, games & VFX studios
Based in North Greenwich, London, Escape Studios offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and short courses in many areas of Animation, Games and Visual Effects.
Prospective students can join a taster day on November 1st to get a feel of what it's really like to study at Escape Studios, meet other students who are interested in the creative industries, and find out if your chosen discipline is right for you.
If you are a parent/carer, open days are a great option for you to visit.
Oxford Routes into STEM course
The Engineering Development Trust have organised a 3-day course in Oxford over the October half term (28th, 29th, 30th) that will give students a really hands on and engaging opportunity to explore further studies and careers in STEM. This opportunity is for Year 9 & 10 students. There are 30 spaces available and large numbers of applications are expected, so interested students are urged to make an application ASAP. There is a cost involved in enrolling on these courses - bursaries are available for eligible students. For more information, visit the Engineering Development Trust website.
World Space Week - 4th - 10th October

Discover Careers in Pharmacy
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is holding after-school talks open to students in Years 7 and above to explore the fabulous careers available in pharmacy in both hospital and community. Options include doing a degree at university to become a Pharmacist or becoming a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Assistant by doing an apprenticeship. There will be chance to ask questions in interactive sessions.
