WHO WE ARE

The Buckinghamshire Skills Hub promotes and optimises links between the business community and education/training providers to enable young people and adults to develop the skills and qualifications they need to progress in the workplace, at whatever stage of their career they are in. Skills development is central to creating the conditions for sustained innovation, excellence and growth for our Buckinghamshire businesses, particularly in priority sectors as described in our Local Industrial Strategy.

OUR VISION

The Bucks Skills Hub is focused on working with young people and adults to develop the qualifications and skills they need to be successful in the workplace. We do this by promoting and utilising the links between business, the local community and education and training providers.

No matter what stage of career someone is at, we are here to help. We believe that developing skills is the most important component to creating sustainable innovation, success, growth and excellence for businesses in Buckinghamshire.

WHAT WE DO

In order to achieve our vision, we coordinate a number of exciting programmes including a large Enterprise Advisor Network and Careers Hub which work alongside schools, our annual Bucks Skills Show, industry-focused employer/stakeholder groups, support for apprenticeships and a Skills Advisory Panel for Buckinghamshire. These ensure that we can manifest our vision for Buckinghamshire businesses, communities and education services.

JOIN THE TEAM

Enterprise Coordinator | 18.5 hours per week | Find out more

We're recruiting for an Enterprise Coordinator who sits at the heart of the local Enterprise Coordinator Network in order to help schools and colleges improve their careers and enterprise activities and to engage with the world of work. It is their knowledge, guidance and connections that help educators and employers come together to deliver impactful careers and enterprise programmes for young people. Working closely with the Under 19 Skills Manager, the EC will ensure the EAN is embedded into the LEP’s skills strategy and make it easier for employers to engage with schools and colleges. Through establishing the local and national contexts the EC will focus everyone’s efforts on programmes and activities that are most effective in motivating young people, supporting independent choice, and supporting positive outcomes for young people.
