The latest degree apprenticeships

Did you know you can gain a full undergraduate or master’s degree while earning money? Alternative career paths like degree apprenticeships often get overlooked simply because full-time degrees are more readily promoted, but with resources like Awesome Apprenticeships’ Higher & Degree Apprenticeship Listing and the UCAS Apprenticeship Portal recently coming into play, the scales are starting to tip. Let’s chuck a few more weights on by looking at some of the brilliant businesses offering degree apprenticeships within a 50-minute train or car ride from Bucks.

Zenopa (Penn)

Zenopa is the UK’s leading recruitment firm specialising in the commercial side of the healthcare industry, but the biggest draw of this Bucks-based business is undoubtedly its commitment to nurturing future talent. It won the Apprentice and Young Person Employer of the Year Award in 2022, and annually offers apprenticeship degrees across a range of subjects, including Business Development and Finance.

AWE Nuclear Security Technologies (Reading)

Building Services,Design & Construction Management and Electronic Design are just some of the degrees on offer at AWE Nuclear Security Technologies’ site in Reading, where apprentices work at the forefront of nuclear tech that supports the government’s strategy for keeping the nation safe.

Capgemini (Central London)

A global leader in digital transformation, Capgemini harnesses the power of technology to help create an inclusive and sustainable future. If this mission aligns with your own passions, the company has teamed up with Kingston University to offer a degree apprenticeship in Environmental Science, amongst others further afield.

Mace (London Heathrow)

Mace is the perfect choice for anyone who doesn’t like the thought of being stuck at a desk as the construction business is centred around bringing skyscrapers, infrastructure and regeneration projects to life. London Heathrow Airport is just one example of these projects, and where the Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) Engineer andQuality Assurance apprenticeships are based.

Morgan Stanley (Central London)

If you have a Technology-focused pathway in mind, don’t look any further than Morgan Stanley. An apprenticeship here will see you rotate the different areas of the tech department to understand how it helps the business raise, manage and distribute the money its clients need to achieve their goals.
