The Widening Participation Team at the London School of Economics and is reaching out to share two new opportunities that schools and partners are invited to support by promoting.
Both programmes are free to attend and offer Year 12 students valuable insight into studying at LSE, alongside opportunities to hear directly from current students and academics.
LSE Empower
LSE Empower (formerly the Black Achievement Conference) is a one‑day online conference for Year 12 students of Black heritage.
This interactive event gives participants the opportunity to hear authentic experiences from Black students and alumni, gain insight into studying at LSE, and receive tailored guidance on making a competitive university application.

LSE Explore
LSE Explore is a series of online and in‑person subject taster events for Year 12 students, offering insight into selected undergraduate degree subjects at LSE.
This year’s programme includes six online academic subject tasters, an optional online admissions session, and three in‑person Explore Extra events. Participating departments include Anthropology, Economic History, International History, International Relations, Management, and Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method.

Year 12 state school students from across the UK
