Buckinghamshire businesses and young people are benefiting from continued support from OCU Group, as the business strengthens its partnership with Bucks Skills Hub to champion skills, careers and future talent across the county.

As a sponsor of Bucks Skills Hub, OCU Group has played an active role in supporting the county’s flagship Bucks Skills Show in March, helping connect thousands of young people with real-world career opportunities.

Beyond the headline event, the team has continued to build meaningful links with local schools and colleges—bringing careers to life and supporting young people to better understand their future pathways.

Recent activity has included:

  • Supporting careers events at Chalfont Community College and The Misbourne

  • Delivering mock interviews at Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School

  • Engaging with T Level students, including those at Bucks College Group

  • Contributing to careers support as an Enterprise Adviser at Stony Dean School

This hands-on approach reflects OCU Group’s commitment to social value—ensuring young people gain insight, confidence and practical experience to support their next steps.

Rachel Groves, Stakeholder and Social Value Manager at OCU Group, said:

“Supporting the Bucks Skills Show was a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with young people from across Buckinghamshire and showcase the breadth of careers available within our industry. It’s important to us that we don’t just talk about opportunities—we actively support them.

Working with Bucks Skills Hub allows us to get into schools, meet students face-to-face and play a small part in helping them understand what’s possible. Whether it’s through careers fairs, mock interviews or supporting T Level students, we want to give young people the confidence and insight they need to take their next step.”

“Being involved as an Enterprise Adviser is also incredibly rewarding,” she added. “It gives us the chance to support schools in a more sustained way and ensure what we’re doing is genuinely useful for both students and educators.”

Bucks Skills Hub continues to work closely with employers like OCU Group to create meaningful encounters between education and industry—helping ensure Buckinghamshire’s future workforce is informed, inspired and work-ready.
