Changes to Apprenticeship Funding Rules for SEND Learners
As of 1st August 2024, apprentices with learning differences without an Education, Health and Care Plan will be able to work towards a lower level of functional skills. This new guidance follows a positive SEND pilot that encapsulated 20 training providers across the UK.
It is hoped that widening flexibilities in English and maths for apprentices with learning disabilities/or difficulties will encourage greater uptake and hopefully higher completion rates.
