Working with Young People with SEND, Maurice George, Brookfield School

In October 2020 Bucks Skills Hub, OxLEP, SEMLEP and Berkshire LEP ran a webinar for Thames Valley Enterprise Advisers who work in special schools and mainstream schools, to improve their confidence in understanding the needs of SEND young people and the role they can play in ensuring that schools careers programmes and activities reflect the differing needs of all students and are fully inclusive.

In this video, Maurice who is the assistant headteacher at Brookfield School in West Reading, a through-age special school with a range of moderate to complex learning difficulties, spoke about the importance of starting careers education early, keeping it dynamic and personalised.
