The Parent Perspective Podcast episode 9

In the final episode of this series we’re talking about the green agenda and how apprenticeships – particularly in the trade and engineering sectors – can help us hit our targets and live a little more sustainably.

Rachel's guest this week is Santina Bunting, a Level 3 Civil Engineering apprentice in the Geotechnics team at ARUP

Santina discusses her journey into an apprenticeship at 16, what it was like to leave school at a young age and go to work whilst her friends were in sixth form, how she found the apprenticeship with support from her Mum, what the benefits have been and what her advice to others would be. Santina also discusses her future plans to progress into a degree apprenticeship in engineering and what it’s been like as a young woman in the sector.
