Sustainable Futures: Green Careers Programme for Students

Prepare Students for a Greener Future

Sustainable Futures is a free programme for secondary schools and colleges, designed to equip young people with knowledge and skills that can help them thrive in a future green economy, whatever career path they choose.

Designed for students aged 13 to 18, the certificated course can be delivered by teachers, careers leaders or other facilitators.

Flexible Learning for Schools and Colleges

The programme includes three modules, broken down into bite-sized 30-minute learning units, giving schools and colleges flexibility over how they deliver the course.

It can be incorporated into:

  • Careers provision

  • Curriculum subjects

  • Extra-curricular activities

This makes it suitable for introducing sustainability and green skills across different areas of learning, rather than limiting the subject to students already considering an environmental career.

Help Students Explore Sustainable Futures

Use the programme to help young people understand how sustainability and the transition to a green economy could influence their future careers and the skills they may need.
