STEM Conference for South Asian Girls (1st February 2024)

Join us for a very special STEM conference particularly aimed for young South Asian women/students.

The day will include an exciting STEM activity where students will engage in a session all about the Chemistry of Chocolate where they will also use their sensory skills to see if they can taste the difference in different types and brands of chocolate. There will also be three special guest speakers delivering an inspirational and motivational talk on their experiences as South Asian women in STEM industries. The three guests include: Parveen Yaqoob - the Pro-Vice Chancellor of Research and Innovation at the University of Reading, Sunny Khutan who has been named as one of the most influential woman in UK Tech and is currently part of the UN Women UK Delegation and Julie Khanom, former Partner Marketing Manager for a digital telecommunications company in Dubai.

All speakers are from South Asian backgrounds and work to inspire, increase ambitions, and target the many barriers that young South Asian girls encounter. Please get in touch if you think this would be inspiring for South Asian girls at your school. Limited spaces.

Suitable for Y10s and Y11s!
