Asda is offering a free nationwide programme for the 2026/27 academic year, giving young people the opportunity to develop valuable business and leadership skills through project-based learning.
Delivered through a flexible virtual platform, the programme provides schools and colleges with lesson plans, instructional videos and supporting resources for use throughout the academic year. Students work on real-world business challenges while developing skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, communication and leadership.
Asda Leaders Programme
The Leaders Programme is designed for:
Year 10 students
Year 12 students
Students investigate real business challenges using Asda's ESG report before developing innovative and profitable business solutions. Teams receive support from an Asda colleague mentor and work through a structured programme covering business analysis, solution development and presentation skills.
Key dates
Launch event: 14 October 2026 (virtual)
Mentor introductions: November 2026
Business plan submissions due: 4 June 2027
Virtual national final: 25 June 2027
