DWP Support for Schools
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is working alongside Bucks Skills Hub, Careers Leaders and the Local Authority to support careers programmes in Buckinghamshire schools and help prevent young people from becoming NEET.
DWP's Support for Schools offer provides free support for Careers Leaders, with provision designed to support young people who may be at greater risk of becoming NEET. The programme can support schools through group and one-to-one activities and contribute towards Gatsby Benchmark targets.
Support Available
The programme can be tailored to support students across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 and includes areas such as:
Reasonable adjustments and preparing for recruitment
Labour market information
Using AI as an employability skill and using AI responsibly for career preparation
Sector toolkits and career pathways
Individual career planning
Employer encounters
Preparing for the workplace
Financial wellbeing
Further and Higher Education and apprenticeship pathways
Civil Service careers and work experience
