Civil Service Fast Stream Workshop Delivery

Civil Service Fast Streamers from the Fast Stream Race Equality Network (FSREN) are planning to deliver workshops across our region. FSREN is a network made up of Fast Streamers who are committed to promoting diversity and inclusion within the Civil Service.

They offer schools the choice of two workshops and are happy to deliver one or both workshops.

  1. Careers, Choices, Civil Service Workshop – This workshop explores, in an interactive way, the factors young people should consider when choosing a career, the different career pathways available to them and what the Civil Service does, finishing with an interactive activity on crisis management to allow students to ‘act’ as Civil Servants.

  2. STAR(R) Workshop – This workshop covers how to write applications using the STAR (situation, task, action and result) technique. Students will learn how to leverage their experiences in interviews and applications, tips for applying to jobs and higher education and will participate in a group activity where they will draft a STAR response.

If you'd like more information or are interested in having a workshop delivered at your school, please reach out to: taiba.chaudhry@faststream.civilservice.gov.uk.
