Salary Circa £24,308 per annum,

Hours Full Time, 37 hours per week

Terms 18 month Fixed Term Contract

About The Role

An Exciting opportunity to join Housing Solutions as a Resident Empowerment Apprentice, under a fixed term 18 month contract to complete an apprentice qualification alongside employment, such as Housing and Property Management Level 3 or Level 4 Apprenticeship depending on experience, working towards the additional qualification of the Certificate in Housing Level 4

While completing your apprenticeship you will be working in our friendly and professional Housing Department and supporting the Resident Empowerment Team to deliver an exceptional resident empowerment and volunteering programme to the residents and the organisation, by providing a customer focused, efficient and effective service.

Assisting the organisation to help us exceed the regulatory standards for Tenant Involvement and Empowerment by assisting in, creating and developing engagement projects by working with our residents and stakeholders in line with our Resident Engagement Strategy. Working across different partnerships and organisations to expand the reach of our engagement projects across our communities.

About you

We are looking for a “people person” who can build relationships with residents and stakeholders from all walks of life, someone who is able, and eager to make a positive impact on communities within the local area and be passionate about empowering our residents.

You’ll need to have a housing background or have a minimum of 2 A levels and English GCSE and you will be required to carry out a project as part of your role. You must be confident and well organised and have the ability to work on your own initiative as well as collaboratively across the organisation to support our goal of resident empowerment. You will need to be computer literate and have a polite and professional manner with good communication skills. Previous administration, or customer service skills would be advantageous but not essential for the role. Additionally, some travel will be required as part of your duties.

The successful applicant will require an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate which is considered satisfactory to Housing Solutions.
