FREE UAL ONE YEAR FILM CREW TRAINING FOR THOSE UNDER 19 AT PINEWOOD STUDIOS

Looking to break into the TV & Film sector? Want to train in production but not sure where to start? This opportunity could be for you. Together with the Creative Media Skills Institute, Pinewood are offering one year UAL film crew training for those under 19.

Here are the details from the CMS Institute themselves:

If applicants are aged over 19 on the date of enrolment the course fee is £5420, you will be able to apply for an Advance Learner Loan through the government’s Student Finance website. There is also a Studio Fee of £580 which can be paid in four instalments through the BCG Online Store. This studio fee covers all materials and products required for the courses.

Creative Media Skills Institute based In the heart of Pinewood Studios enables highly experienced and award-winning screen industry professionals to pass on their invaluable knowledge and expertise to the next generation of crew stepping directly from set to our studio base, ensuring learners are industry ready. They have four UAL Level 4 Professional Diplomas with some places still remaining for September 2022. Pinewood Studios have agreed a long-term contract with Disney: they have used the facility for its newest Star Wars instalments as well as productions such as ‘Ant Man’, ‘Little Mermaid’ and the latest ‘Indiana Jones’. Pinewood Group have also recently agreed a long-term contract with Netflix and decided to further expand the iconic Shepperton Studios. The expansion will now total approximately 1 million sq. ft of new production accommodation and comprise 17 sound stages.

These courses will allow you to build a network from which you can either begin to work as an assistant, trainee in the industry or identify a progress route to further your skills in many different job roles. We see many students go directly into work through the networks they build through their professional tutors who spot talent on the programmes.
